Workout challenges with friends
By CARGA · Updated
In CARGA you start a challenge with your friends: pick what counts (sessions, total volume or active minutes), set the dates and share a code. Whoever joins with the code shows up on the leaderboard, and the leaderboard keeps score on its own from the sessions people log.
How does a challenge work?
You create it, pick the rule and invite people. Each person logs their own sessions in the app, and the challenge leaderboard adds up what counts: sessions, volume or minutes, whichever you chose. When the end date arrives, the board closes.
What can count?
Three options:
Sessions: who logged the most sessions in the period.
Total volume: weight moved (reps times load) in strength sessions.
Active minutes: the sum of minutes across every session.
How do I invite my friends?
Set the dates and share the challenge code. Anyone with the code and a CARGA account joins from the app. Nothing else is needed.
What does the leaderboard show?
Where each person in the challenge stands. In the feed, the people who follow you see your sessions, records and milestones, with fist bumps and comments. Your profile is visible to followers unless you choose to make it public.
What's the difference between a challenge and the league?
In a challenge, you choose the people, the rule and the dates. In the league, CARGA groups you each week with people in your tier, and the rule is always the same: points from sessions and minutes. Both are fed by the same logged session.
Questions and answers
Do my friends need to be in CARGA?
Yes. They join the challenge with the code, from the app.
What if someone makes up a session?
Each person logs their own sessions for now, so a challenge runs on trust between you. Choose who you invite.
